coz if it was during his career, i say it doesn't matter. in the 90s madrid was the power house in spain. its like messi coming out 10 years from now saying "madrid try to sign me twice" when barca are the stronger team. back then moving away from madrid just wouldnt seem logical. its like xavi/iniesta/messi moving away from barca now when they have everything going for them at the club.
