I think they can get even stronger. When you win something like this, you buy again to keep moving forward. Gotze is a shrewd buy, in respect it strengthens Bayern's squad while making Dortmund weaker.
They have deserved this tonight. They have been the best team in Europe this season, they will probably even win a treble which would be an incredible achievement.
I think having missed out in 2010 and last year it seemed from early on to me this was their time.
Now it is up to everyone else to close the gap on them. Can't wait to see what transfers might happen this summer for the big clubs.
As an aside, does Heynckes really retire? Surely he will have many tempting offers from big clubs no doubt...He should get a lot of credit in a season where Bayern's top brass basically forced him out.
Bayern have been really unlucky the past years so it was well deserved they finally won, especially due to the fact Dortmund shouldn't even be in the final with their offside impossible win on Malaga.
Irrelevant... People tend to forget that Malagas goal was off side too...Dortmund deserved to be in the final. They came out the better while in the group of death, besting teams like Madrid, city and Ajax.
Hala Bayern :D June the 1st is a mere formality and Bayern will get the strongest Treble in history. Dortmund played their hearts out and props to them. Robben finally made up for last year too.
Crazy how people aren't mentioning the luck bayern had with the officials, they should have had two red cards. I really can't stand frank ribery, if pep has bayern rolling around like barca then ribery will be the man to lead the pack. All in all though, bayern edged it with set pieces. Dortmund couldn't handle it. It's sad now to see that this Dortmund team will be torn apart by transfer activity.
This has only reached 400 degrees and proves my earlier point in the season that when there are no BPL teams the world switches off the champions league.
