Ironic really, way back when saying he wanted to leave because the club didn't match his ambitions on transfers. United sign the best striker in the league the seasons after, now he is pushed out and throws his toys out the pram again. LOL!

Moyes clearly wants to play with Van Persie up front and Kagawa behind him. This is the problem. He doesn't want to play with a front two. He wants to play with two central midfielders, two wingers, a creative link player behind the striker and the one up top.

Rooney is going to have to either push Van Persie out if he wants to be top dog striker again or settle for battling with Kagawa as the provider.

It is difficult to see where this saga is going, until the window shuts. Rooney won't like this idea but it seems United have no intention of selling him to another English club (they can afford not to and made this clear), and don't care if they force him to stay for at least another year.

There isn't a lot he can do unless a foreign club puts a serious bid in. United will just sit on him. Rooney as backup! Chortle.
