Yeah let's change everything (time of the competition, timing for the qualifications, regular seasons, etc) just so that we can have a World Cup in Quatar...
Why weren't these concerns taken into account when they awarded the tournament?
Come on Fifa, just admit you made a mistake (or, more likely, got bribed) and give the world cup to the country who was supposed to get it: USA (note: I'm Swiss, so no bias here).
If they do this then I hope lots of top players pull out and the tournament becomes an embarrassment to FIFA.
The whole idea behind the World Cup bidding process is to find the best host, if Qatar can't make it work then give it to the USA (who somehow lost) instead.
FIFA need to just come out and say "there are too many inconveniences to world football to make the Qatar world cup a reality. it would have been great to have one in that part of the world but unfortunately it is not fair to shift around world football for the clubs and countries involved."
but..sadly for us...bribe money makes fifa overlook everything.
what would happen if all the countries put "B-teams" in the world cup. would they be fined?
and how do fifa expect the fans to visit in november which is one of the busiest times of the year for their jobs(its close to impossible to get holiday time off in most jobs around this time).
also because of Qatar rules alot of families will not even contemplate going.
this will be a world cup where your lucky if the stadiums have anyone except the people who bribed FIFA to host it.
hopefully if FIFA do push this then european clubs and the FA's of the nations band together and pull out of FIFA to create their own and in doing so end the joke that is FIFA as its clear they don't represent the fans or try to improve the game(they add stupid rules like the yellow card if you take your shirt off and yet cant punish for severe racism).
