Wayne Rooney backed to break record

The England international brought up a double-century of goals for the club in the 4-2 Champions League win over Bayer Leverkusen, and took his tally to 202 with a free-kick in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion.

He is now only nine goals behind Jack Rowley, who struck 211 times for United either side of World War II, with just Denis Law (237) and Sir Bobby Charlton (249) ahead of him.
