Wednesday's Copa del Rey final defeat by Real Madrid, coming on the back of a Champions League exit to Atletico Madrid and a La Liga upset at Granada, marked the first time Barcelona have lost three consecutive games in more than a decade.
Unfair scrutiny imo. not a stellar year for them but they made it to the final 8 in the CL, a domestic cup final and are still in the hunt for the league title. You cant win every year!
for teams like like Barca, Real Madrid, ManU, Bayern, a year with only one trophy is a failure.
That being said I disagree with you in that Barca are in a crisis. IF they can't overturn the Fifa decision its gonna be along season for them come aug. No keeper an tattered defensive line and an ageing midfield.
Tiki take can't continue at barca with the transfer ban
With those transfer bans, they'll have to rely more on their younger players coming to the first team, as well as some they've loaned out. They have more than enough options in attack (Tello,Pedro, Neymar, Alexis, Messi, Traore, etc.) Xavi and Iniesta can still hang in there until that transfer ban lifts. Defense is the biggest issue. the LB and RB positions are ok with Jordi Alba or Adriano, and Dani Alives or Montoya. Barca will have to rely on Bartra like they have been doing and hope for the best when it comes to injuries.
