The story is too old to be commented.

Their title hopes may be finished now. its going to make the fixture in the CL that much more important. To be bested by Atletico twice will be massive.

People saying Barca have had a 'bad' season but finishing ahead of Real. Real have been carried by the individual brilliance of Ronaldo (and at times Bale) - without them they're not a great team, just some talented individuals.

asmith23063640d ago

Exactly. Still can't understand all the talk of Barca having problems. Just not at their best this season.

Nes_Daze3640d ago

I doubt that, I dont think you give the entire team enough credit...Madrid have been carried by the famous "bbc" that madrid fans talk so much about, a much better defense, and a great manager.

As for barca, they are in no crisis but it is surprising to see that theyre closer to the title than Madrid are given the issues they had to face.

xX_Altair_Xx3639d ago

Their record without Ronaldo is pretty bad when you consider they have likes of Benzema, Isco, Alonso, Modric, Di Maria. These players alone should be good enough to win the title.

KingPin3640d ago

thats the end of the title for madrid.
dropped points at the worst of times this season.

CR7 injured. possibly even missing the final of the champions league. madrid season just went from bad to worse.

Nes_Daze3640d ago

Didnt expect them to drop points with valladolid, madrid with all their great bought talent still couldnt finish above a barca team with club issues, injuries, and horrible defense.

asmith23063639d ago

Goes to show how good Barca still are. Lucky for everyone else that they aren't at their best.

RGB3639d ago

Well that's that, Champions League still to play for though. Regardless what happens, Copa is better than nothing, I.e. we won nothing last year.

xX_Altair_Xx3639d ago

Not sure the Copa means that much to Real. Last time they won it they chucked it under a bus!

RGB3639d ago (Edited 3639d ago )

More like Ramos dropped it, any cup is something and beating Barca makes it more worth it.

Champions League is the obsession. Champions League > La Liga, it's always been that way. Same with Milan in Serie A.

Stringerbell3639d ago

Yeah the atmosphere for that game is going to be incredible. I think it will ultimately go down as the most coveted match between the two clubs.
