Is this really a good idea? I mean sure he's past his best but I still think he has one more good year in him. With Vidic leaving and possibly Evra, it's going to have a huge impact on the team.. with Rio going also, there is absolutely no defenders left with the influence and experience to lead our backline or do we entrust that responsibility to some new players we haven't even signed yet? Neither Smalling, Jones or Evans are capable leaders, Rafael isn't even worth mentioning and De Gea is still too young.

Also the whole way him being told he won't be offered a new contract is completely classless and an absolute embarrassment to the club.. Woodward out!
