Great defending by U.S., even better tactics from Klinnsman. I think the Altidore and Besler injury brought down the U.S. a lot, but they made do and got the result. Good performance by Howard and Brooks must be ecstatic.
Third time's the charm for the US. I'm glad for them.
brilliant goal by ayew, probably the highlight of the match for them, but very sloppy defending right at the beginning i wont lie, i will be sad to see the USA go through over ghana or portugal simply because both those team will be far more exciting to watch play
US got lucky, they really did.. and did anyone notice, how slow the US team is? One thing's for sure, if they play like that against Portugal, the US will lose.
if they only had the confidence to attack ghana a handful of times there is no way they will deviate from that plan against portugal or germany as for the US speed...ghana brought the youngest team to this world cup apparently so maybe that was the cause?
