Three losses in 7 days for Liverpool. If it wasn't obvious before it is now their title race is run and the focus will just be on retaining a top 4 position.
I seriously doubt they are capable of it, there is so much to repair and Rodgers doesn't appear to know where to start. He has had 2 and half years at it after all. It's a serious regression under his watch, no longer can he claim the team has been moving forward. It looks no better off now than when he joined back in the summer of 2012.
Chelsea looked imperious and when the season started I knew they would be extremely difficult to stop, but even I didn't realise how straight forward this title race was going to be. One horse.
Suarez covered over Rodgers' average record as a manager. He's being found out and looks like a deer in headlights. Deluded man probably thought he was the new Fergie after last season's fluke; spent over £200m in 2 years and has gone backwards...long may it continue #RodgersIsaFootballGenius !
I dont understand why you keep calling last season a fluke. I hope you realize Liverpool were consistently improving under Rodgers. Last year was a culmination of many things not just a random series of events. Much in the same way as United's slump.
Chelsea could literally emulate Arsenal's Invincibles and score so much more points on top of that.
The title race is pretty much over after 11 games too. Chelsea's next 11 games are; West Brom, Sunderland, Spurs, Newcastle, Hull, Stoke, West Ham, Southampton, Spurs, Newcastle and Swansea.
I can honestly see them taking 29 points, the same as they've achieved in the 11 so far. This batch of 11 games is far easier too; No City, United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton.
8 points clear of realistic title contenders in City, Southampton have done extremely well, they just won't be there in May.

Look at the chart below - LFC have finished outside the top 4 in half of the EPL seasons, and only finished 2nd twice (pre-Abu Dhabi City). A 'fluke' is defined as 'an unlikely chance occurrence'; how often will Pool finish above BOTH City and Chelsea (not to mention Utd and Arsenal)? History shows last season was an aberration and they spend most of their time outside the top 3 and half the time out the top 4.
You can try to dress it up, but spending how much he has and the team looking and playing average isnt good enough. And before you mention it, yes LVG is doing the same at Utd, though Rodgers has had a 2 year headstart in his 'rebuilding'. If Utd continue to falter he'll get sacked. You cant get paid £5m salaries like these guys and accept mediocrity from your team.
No idea what Liverpool's defence is at, but it has been an on going thing since Rafa left. Say what you want but we sold rather foolishly one of the best strikers in the game, and left with the best English striker, who, has not kicked the ball for Liverpool so far this season. I am sure had he not been injured the table would be looking so much different right now. The blame lies with Rodgers though for not buying a good enough replacement for Suarez. Baloteli is a good player, but he just is not clicking yet at Liverpool, he needs time as does all the other players Rodgers signed.
But that is what happens when you replace a superstar with stars in the making.
Clear handball from Cahill at the end...

i dont think the title race is a full gone conclusion but damn, their main rivals are slipping up so badly right now, its just to easy
I watched the game yesterday and I don't support either team.
Chelsea is a very dirty side, COSTA should have been sent off before the goal. Cahill hand balled it.
But Liverpool were guilty of some awful defending.
I wonder if they learnt that from Arsenal.
