Salgaocar FC coach Derrick Pereira was disappointed that his side lost 2-0 to Bharat FC last weekend in a game which saw the home team finish with nine players with two being given their marching orders.
On being asked if they conceded two soft goals in the first half, he acknowledged the same and said, “It’s true and was disappointing that we lost this match. Of course, congrats to Bharat FC on their first win. Our performance was not up to the mark. The performance of our out-and-out striker was the main cause of worry. We didn't create much and the one clear open chance that we missed where [Bikash] Jairu just had to tap the ball in which would have changed the complexion of the game. We were prepared to counter Bharat, but I'm very disappointed with the performance of some of my players.”
