Sweden U21s 0-0 Portugal U21s (aet, 4-3 pens): Carlgren the shootout hero as Ericsson's clinch title

Sweden have clinched their first ever European Under-21 Championship title, denying Portugal thanks to a 4-3 penalties triumph after drawing 0-0 in Prague on Tuesday.

Despite finding themselves under pressure for long spells in the match, Hakan Ericsson’s side held firm at the back for 120 minutes and ultimately prevailed in the shootout, as goalkeeper Patrick Carlgren saved from Ricardo Esgaio and then William Carvalho to make history.
