Republic of Ireland 2-0 Bosnia-Herzegovina: Walters double sends O'Neill's men

Jonathan Walters scored twice as Republic of Ireland beat Bosnia-Herzegovina 2-0 on Monday to confirm their qualification for Euro 2016 next summer.

The Boys in Green earned a 1-1 draw in the opening leg of the play-off on Friday, and subsequently booked their place in France with a comfortable win at the Aviva Stadium, the Stoke City forward netting from the penalty spot in the first period and then from close-range in the second.

The story is too old to be commented.
