Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Simon Rolfes has told Germany's national team coach Joachim Loew that he won't be available for this summer's World Cup due to a knee injury.
The experienced holding midfielder sustained the knee injury back in January and has since been struggling to return to full match fitness. Rolfes has now thrown in the towel and accepted that he won't make it to South Africa.
