Heskey made it through again. UNBELIVEBLE.
That says everything about Englands squad. They will have big problems in the world cup.

Heskey allows other players such as Rooney and Gerrard to play. The work he does in and around the 18 yard box is vital to the way we play. His hold up play, and the way he draws defenders to him and holds them off, enables others to get forward and take up space.

Emile has done many good things for England. He can be a good man to have in the squad

Glad to see Darren Bent made it in the squad. I don't know why we don't see more of him in the England squad. Every year he's one of the highest scoring strikers in the premier league. Shame Sol Campbell didn't make it though. I think he's a quality defender and has everything a great defender needs. But i don't think time was on his side

You have to take a look at Bent don't you. The goals he's scored in a poor team can't be denied. The only fear I have is, is he international quality?

I still don't think he'll take him though. My final 23 is.

carra in the squad? has Fab lost his ability to choose good players?

greatjimbo785327d ago

Yeah word! It's the cheek of him as well. Quits 3-4 years ago, misses qualifying, and then comes in when all the hard work is done.

Last time i saw England playing well in a CS was the Euro 1996. I loved to see them play! Todays squad shows me that there are to many foreigners in the Premier League to develop own players two reach the best level in the best clubs. Of course there are a few exceptions, but they are to few to compete about a WC-title.
Sorry, but the way money talks in the premier league, destroys the oportuniy for young British players to become world stars!
