Everton starlet Jack Rodwell snubs Manchester United interest and signs new five-year deal

Everton teenager Jack Rodwell has signed a new five-year contract.
The news is a huge blow to Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who regards 19-year-old Rodwell as the next big thing in English football and a future international star.
But it will delight Goodison boss David Moyes, who lost Wayne Rooney to United in a £27million deal after he starred at Euro 2004 as an 18-year-old. United had been prepared to pay around £15m for Rodwell, whose wages increase to more than £20,000 a week.

This is a really strong decision by the young kid.
Manu would pay him a lot of money, but said now. Im impressed, this is a victory for football.

that I agree with you guys. At least in the teory... Everton lost Rooney to United some years ago. They lost their best player for the future. I like it when young players are faithful to their club, but I like good players going to United as well...

I would never, never in my life said no to United for Everton. But when the kids does so, I really do respect him. He most really like his Club and must be loved by his fans!
