Another World Cup injury scare as Forlan hurt

JOHANNESBURG (AFP) - World Cup injury scares continued Sunday when crack Uruguay striker Diego Forlan appeared to injure his left foot during training.

England defender and captain Rio Ferdinand and midfielders Michael Ballack from Germany and Michael Essien of Ghana have been ruled out of the month-long tournament that kicks off June 11 in South Africa.

The only hope for The first winner of the WC ever is Forlan. Without him, they got no chances to qualify.

Do you know the Uruguay squad? There is another star player in the team, his name is Suarez! He is topscorder in the Dutch Eredivisie at Ajax Amsterdam.. Some reports says: Manchester United want to buy him! Anyhow there are more talents in the squad like Lodeiro, also a player of Ajax Amsterdam ;)

And sorry, but Group A is easy for Uruguay.. France is not at their strongest ever so they can draw or win! South Africa and Mexico should be won!

I have seen some matches during the south american qualify. dont think they would make it to the WC without Forlan. But, sure, they have more than one player- but I think a big resposibilty has been laid on Forlans shoulders. And Forlan has played excelent with the pressure!
