Germany coach Jogi Loew is being hailed as a tactical genius this morning after masterminding the 4-1 win over England.
Whilst Fabio Capello has been derided for his reliance on 4-4-2, Low’s 4-2-3-1 formation exposed many of the weaknesses of the Three Lions.
Loew, however, did not have a flawless match in Bloemfontein. He may have ridden his luck with Frank Lampard’s disallowed goal but he failed to recognise that the eyes of the world would be on both the England and Germany benches for the full 90 minutes.
Quite simply, the video below has to be seen to be believed and it is unlikely the coach of the “nationalmannschaft” will make a similar mistake in the quarter-final against Argentina.
