Martin Jol is believed to have identified Robbie Keane, the Tottenham striker, as his primary target should he, as expected, be appointed as Fulham manager in the next 48 hours.
The Craven Cottage club are thought to be close to agreeing a compensation package with Jol’s current employers, Ajax, and the former Tottenham manager is expected to be in place to take charge of Fulham’s pre-season friendly with Halmstads on Thursday.
