Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia pushed closer to exit door after friendly snub

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has pushed error-strewn goalkeeper Manuel Almunia to the exit door after he failed to pick him for last night's friendly against Sturm Graz, according to the Daily Star.

Almunia, 33, has been linked with a switch to Atletico Madrid after the Gunners supremo was rumoured to have lost faith in him. As UK exclusively revealed, Fulham's Mark Schwarzer has been lined up for a player/coach role after Wenger insisted the number one spot at the club was up for grabs.

The story is too old to be commented.
