Inter Milan forward Samuel Eto’o did what he does best in Poland, leading the frontline and providing two goals that propelled his team to victory.
Cameroon got the proceedings underway with a youthful new look lineup selected by interim head coach Jacques Songo’o. Eto’o was put clear through on goal within two minutes of play but his weak lob attempt was caught by the advancing Polish ‘keeper, Lukasz Fabianski. Neither team was able to assert their authority early on in the match as they both exchanged attacks with little end product to show for their possession.
