Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted his surprise at William Gallas' free transfer switch to north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Gallas, 33, is expected to wrap up his move to in the coming days after agreeing a one-year deal. The France World Cup 2010 defender, who previously rejecting a two-year offer with the Gunners, was widely expected to move back to the continent after nine successful seasons in the Premier League.
