I think you underestimate Everton hugely, and United have already shown weakness against Fulham. Don't forget it's at Goodison Park, not Old Trafford. Rooney never performs at that ground, and if he doesn't, who will?
As for West Ham, I think they're going down this season and even at home they will crumble to Chelsea, but if they get a lucky early goal they could get a big confidence boost and might pull out a result. Chelsea could easily be underprepared for such an 'easy' game, like Villa were against Newcastle. They also have JT and Lamps recovering from injury and might be a bit shaky defensively.
At least you have to credit Lawro for sticking his neck out. He normally just gives the obvious prediction like 2-0 to United or Chelsea.
I admit, you have some good arguments there, Shankly. Still, I think its gonna be easy wins for both big clubs. And I give Lawro cred for being honest - and IF he is is right about his predictions I will 10 double it. Lets see what the weekend brings of results!
He is goo, but his Prediction: 1-1 Everton - United is a bommer! And West Ham v Chelsea: Prediction: 1-1. I go for 1-3 for United and 0-4 for Chelsea.
