Begging To Play

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has pleaded with manager Sir Alex Ferguson to be picked to play against Rangers in the Champions League on Tuesday, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

Rooney was omitted from the United team which drew 3-3 at his former club Everton on Saturday, with Toffees boss David Moyes suggesting that Ferguson could have been disciplining Rooney for the recent tabloid revelations concerning his private life.

Ferguson has maintained that the omission was due to the reception Rooney would receive from the Everton fans, but the striker has reportedly been keen to stress to Ferguson that the tabloid furore surrounding his personal life will not distract him from his football.

I guess Rooney find it more important to beg Ferguson for playing, than begging his wife for forgivness...:)
