Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is being tipped to be the saviour of the Portuguese national team, at least for the next two games, according to Portugese newspaper La Record.
Former coach Carlos Quieroz was sent packing after Portugal made a miserable start to their European qualifying campaign. A home draw with Cyprus and a loss in Norway was the final straw for the football federation, who now will hold a meeting with Mourinho and his agent Jorge Mendes to discuss the unusual deal.
