Qatar Royal Family To Take 30 Per Cent Stake In Paris Saint-Germain – Report

A deal has reportedly been signed to sell part of PSG to the Qatari royal family, though Colony Capital are denying anything has been done.

Paris Saint-Germain’s difficult financial situation could be eased somewhat as they are preparing for a takeover from the Qatari royal family, a report on L’Expansion’s website has indicated.

The French monthly business magazine has said that there have been months of discussions between the Qataris and Colony Capital, the company that is presently the majority shareholder in the club.

Sebastien Bazin, the former president of les Parisiens, has been the man negotiating the deal from Colony’s side and he has supposedly come to an agreement to sell 30 per cent of the club on the condition that PSG are granted a long-term lease on their Parc des Princes home by the City of Paris in early 2011.

The story is too old to be commented.
