Hodgson promises Torres stay amidst United interest

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has admitted that is well aware of Manchester United intentions of swooping for Fernando Torres as a replacement for Wayne Rooney.

However, the Reds boss has promised he would do his utmost to keep the Spanish star at Anfield.

England striker Rooney is on his way out of United following his refusal to sign a new contract at Old Trafford, citing the club's lack of ambition and failure to sign new players.

Torres performance is lower evry week that passes. Maybe a change of club will help him return as the player he used to be? But,I find it hard to believe that he can replace Rooneys importance for United.

He is a diffrent type of a striker he does not run as much he does less for the team but his finishing and headers are very good I want him to stay at Liverpool buy two players in the transfer window and we be back at the top soon
