Former Barcelona president Joan Laporta has been accused of accepting a €3 million commission for brokering a deal with representatives of Uzbekistan side Budyonkor in relation to business activities, as legal action commences against him.
Current president Sandro Rosell and the remainder of the Blaugrana board took the executive decision to launch a lawsuit against Laporta and the former members of the board for their mismanagement of the club during their tenure, and are looking to recoup in the region of €48m in damages.
