Chelsea chairman Bruck Buck has stated that his club will support a salary cap in football – but he wants it implemented in the appropriate manner.
With UEFA ready to introduce their Financial Fair Play Regulations for the start of the 2013-2014 season, requiring clubs to achieve break-even status or face expulsion from European competition, Buck has stated that Chelsea are fully in support of such stipulations – despite them setting the trend of astronomical transfer fees and wages when current owner Roman Abramovich took over the club in 2003.
