Paris Saint-Germain required a goal in the 10th minute of extra-time from Ludovic Giuly to see off a much changed Olympique Lyonnais side in the Coupe de la Ligue.
For much of the evening it had seemed that the hosts would be the ultimate victors as Jimmy Briand’s goal shortly before the interval had them in control. There was a degree of luck in the former Stade Rennais player’s finish as it span off the calf of Zoumana Camara before beating Gregory Coupet, but the lead was well deserved.
