Barcelona’s Spanish international star Xavi has once again denied rumours that he intends to retire from representing his country, and that he still hopes to be available for selection when the World Cup in 2014 travels to Brazil.
The playmaker has been suffering from tendonitis for much of the season, which has limited his appearances for the Blaugrana, and indeed saw him sit out La Furia Roja’s last two Euro 2012 qualifiers.
However, the 30-year-old stated on radio station Cadena SER that he dreams of being involved four years from now as Spain defend their trophy, saying: “I am thrilled at the prospect of going to Euro 2012, and for the next World Cup if I can go.
If he conditions hos body well there is every chance. 34 years old isnt bad aslong as he keeps his game up
