I did prefer the way they played under Rijkaard. But they seem more consistent under guardiola

Guardiola got them to play the ball better Xavi and Iniesta were not the same under Rijkard plus their defending was even worse back then

It's basically still Rijkard's team, but I don't really see that as an excuse for Guardiola's success. Rijkard never won literally every trophy for every competition Barca could legally enter in one season when he was in charge, so if it is Rijkard's team, then Guardiola knows how to use Rijkard's team better than Rijkard himself. Plus, Rijkard never won 6-2 away to Real (tongue-in-cheek).

I am not, in any way, bashing Rijkard. Far from it. I just debated recently with some of my friends who say that this isn't Guardiola's team. Just making the point that he has made it his team.
