Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi has defined his injury time goal against Cagliari on Wednesday evening as one of his most important for the club.
Lavezzi’s strike handed Walter Mazzarri’s side a narrow 1-0 victory that puts them third in the Serie A standings, just two points behind leaders Milan.
“I don't know whether to tell you if this is my most important goal since I started playing for Napoli," he told the club's official website.
“It's certainly a very important goal because we got the three points.
“We made a real effort and an enormous sacrifice. We were practically playing with nine men given the knocks to Salvatore Aronica and Hugo Campagnaro. We won a very difficult game."
