Sam Allardyce has revealed that Indian company Vendy's takeover bid of Blackburn Rovers is close to completion.
The Indian poultry giant is hammering out negotiations with the Blackburn board, with a price of £46m almost agreed upon. The story of the takeover has taken a back seat in the agenda of the media of late, but Rovers' boss Allardyce has confirmed that the cogs are still turning.
He said to reporters: "It is not as quiet as everyone thinks it is because it is very close to be being clinched.
"I spoke to the chairman (on Friday morning) and the club expects to make an announcement very shortly."
