Wolverhampton captain Karl Henry will be out of action for two months with a knee injury.
The midfielder picked up the knock in his club's 2-1 loss to Blackpool on Saturday, which has left Wolves five points from safety in the English Premier League drop zone.
Manager Mick McCarthy confirmed Henry will not be seen on the pitch again at Molineux until 2011.
