The Scottish Football Association has vowed to do their best to stop any potential referee strike.
Strike action was called by the Scottish Senior Football Referees' Association on Sunday after they grew tired of the constant criticism directed at them for their performances.
But the SFA confirmed on Monday that they were doing everything in their power to appease the officials before the weekend.
SFA President George Peat announced that talks would be held soon but understood the plight of the officials.
