Ajax right-back Gregory van der Wiel says his side were completely "outclassed" by Real Madrid in their Champions League match this evening.
Speaking exclusively to Goal.com Netherlands after the match, the 22-year-old had the tough task of keeping Cristiano Ronaldo out of the match, but the Portuguese international scored a brace.
"We are angry and disappointed. Real Madrid were a few classes above us tonight," the defender said. "It is so frustrating that we were outplayed.
"We were not playing football again tonight. We could have done better and although we started pretty well, after going down 1-0, it seemed we did not know what to do.
