Chris Smalling believes Manchester United are favourites to win the Premier League – and he wants to force his way into the side that takes them to glory.

The young United defender reckons the top flight is as unpredictable as the lower leagues this season but insists Sir Alex Ferguson's side are best placed to lift the trophy next May.

Title rivals Arsenal and Chelsea have stuttered recently and United – second in the table and only behind the Blues on goal difference – are poised to take advantage

Over confident? He knows what his talking about. Liking it or not, United has the largest squad of qualified players. Chelsea turns off just loosing a few key players out with injuries. That cant hold for two seasons...They were lucky last year, now they met reality
