Wayne Rooney insists he never had any intention of joining Manchester City.
At the height of last month's speculation surrounding his future, the striker was linked with a sensational move across town to United’s local rivals. But speaking after Wednesday's game against Rangers, Rooney refuted those City rumours, claiming he wouldn’t sign for any of the Reds' domestic rivals.
“Everyone is saying I was definitely going to join Manchester City,” he said. “Believe me, if I'd have gone [left United] it wouldn’t have been to another club in England.”
Not sure if it true, but I am glad he says it anyway:)
