Ibrahimovic sets quit date

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed he plans to quit football in June 2014.

Ibrahimovic, who left Barcelona to return to Serie A in the summer, is on loan at the San Siro and will be 33-years-old when he plans to hang up his boots. Milan have the option to make his loan move permanent next summer for 24 million euros (£19.7 million) and the striker has agreed terms on a four-year deal. But it may be his final contract in football.

"How long do I intend to play? A maximum three years," Ibrahimovic told Italy's Vanity Fair. "One should stop playing when you are at the top."

Former Inter striker Ibrahimovic has been inspirational since joining city rivals AC Milan. He has scored seven goals in 13 league games to lift the Rossoneri to the top in Serie A and found the back of net four times to help Milan progress to the knock-out stages of the Champions League.
