Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has warned Manchester United and Liverpool the Potters would "not contemplate" selling Ryan Shawcross.
A whole host of top clubs have been linked with Shawcross over the past couple of years and recent speculation suggests that Liverpool could try to sign him in January.
Manchester United's chief scout Jim Lawlor was in the stands at Wigan on Saturday to check on the progress of Shawcross, while the likes of Juventus and even Real Madrid have been linked with the 23-year-old.
