Manchester City chief Roberto Mancini has called on the club's fans not to criticise Carlos Tevez when he runs out against Everton on Monday.
Tevez is set to play some part in City's clash with Everton on Monday, which will be his first appearance for the club since asking for a transfer last week.
The Argentine star, who is set to lose the captaincy of the club, has made it clear he wants to leave Eastlands, although the club have rejected his transfer request as they look to try and persuade him to stay.
Despite the off-field issues, Mancini hopes City's fans will not condemn him.
"The fans should continue to support a team like they have in other times," said Mancini.
