Sampdoria have admitted that they are close to selling Antonio Cassano to Milan, as all the parties involved have nearly finished negotiating about the sell-on clause to Real Madrid that has held the transfer up.
The Spanish giants, who Cassano played for before Sampdoria, are due €5 million because the player is set to move on once again. The payment has delayed his impending transfer to Milan because the Rossoneri were not willing to pay it in full.
