Fabio Capello has assured the Football Association he will not walk out on the England job to move to Inter Milan.
The Italian continues to be linked with the position at the San Siro amid reports that Rafa Benitez is about to be sacked.
But Capello has told Wembley officials that he remains determined to guide his side to the European Championships in 2012 and then make amends for the disappointment of last summer's World Cup with a successful tournament campaign.
No promises in football is valid anyway. Time will show us.
