One-time Everton loan signing Landon Donovan has confirmed he will not return to Goodison Park for a second term.
The LA Galaxy captain made 10 appearances for the Toffees earlier this season, scoring twice before moving back to the US to continue playing Major League Soccer.
Manager David Moyes was keen to acquire the American's services once more, albeit temporarily.
But the 28-year-old said he needed to rest his body for next season's MLS season if he wants to get the best out of himself.
