Harry's high hopes for Becks deal

Harry Redknapp has refused to rule out buying David Beckham if the veteran proves a huge hit during his proposed loan move to Tottenham.

Redknapp also revealed he learnt of Beckham's desire to play for Spurs through son Jamie, the 35-year-old's former international team-mate.

Tottenham are waiting to hear whether the Los Angeles Galaxy will give Beckham permission to move to White Hart Lane until the Major League Soccer season starts in March.

They may be reluctant after the 35-year-old suffered a serious Achilles injury while on a similar loan at AC Milan last year.

That was the second of two spells the midfielder spent at the San Siro, during which he admitted being tempted at the prospect of a permanent move.

Why would you ever want to bring Beckham into your team? Massively overrated player. Can't run, can't dribble, and he's lost his touch.

theres more then being a player who just takes people on you know? why run it past someone when you can deliver a ball like these consistantly.

I agree a bit. He havent lost his touch. But you cant buy/loan a player because of one strenght. Not in todays football.
