Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has reiterated that Wayne Rooney took “bad advice” when he handed in a transfer request and insists that the most important person at the club is the manager.
The Red Devils striker questioned United’s ambition earlier in the season and asked to leave the club, only to perform a sensational U-turn and sign a new long-term deal at Old Trafford.
Ferguson says it’s hard to deal with agents and claims the club will never be the same again once a player becomes more powerful than the manager.
