Rio Ferdinand is set to miss Manchester United's clash with Stoke at Old Trafford, with Sir Alex Ferguson resting the defender for the FA Cup clash with Liverpool on Sunday.
Ferdinand missed most of last season with a back problem, but has started United’s last five games and Ferguson will give the 32-year-old a rest ahead of the visit of arch-rivals Liverpool, report the Daily Mirror.
