The transfer market has opened once again, and some clubs have been quick off the mark to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season.
Barcelona have swooped for Ibrahim Afellay from PSV Eindhoven, Atletico Madrid have acquired midfielder Elias from Corinthians, and Malaga have been positively prolific, bringing in well-known names such as Argentine international Martin Demichelis, and Roma's 'Beast', Julio Baptista.
But there is plenty of time for all of the La Liga sides to bring in the additions they need to either push for glory, aim for Europe, or avoid relegation.
