Jordan coach Adnan Hamad believes that the own goal that drew his side level in the first half was pivotal in the 2-1 win over Syria that allowed progression from Group B.
Hamad’s side needed just a point to progress, and despite going a goal down early, they managed to turn the tie around and head into the quarter-finals with Japan, who trounced Saudi Arabia 5-0.
